"Paras' 10 Endurance Run"; "uniquely tough run follows the same undulating multi terrain course used in paratrooper selection"; open to the public for the first time; "medal and a T-shirt"; can be run in your usual running kit or you can enter the P Company Challenge where you run with a bergen (rucksack) weighing 35lb (excluding food water) and wearing military style boots

The Great Langdale Marathon and Half Marathon starts and finishes at the New Dungeon Ghyll Hotel and Sticklebarn Tavern, Great Langdale, near Ambleside (B5343 road).

There is this year a 3km Fun-Run in addition to the Full and half-Marathons.

Entry forms are available in-store or by post on receipt of an SAE.

Sunderland harriers open cross country races take place on the hills of Farringdon and Gilley Law, (the start is adjacent to Farringdon school). A full lap around the course is approximately 1.8 miles. There are six separate events, all are listed below along with race categories:
